Femi is an actor said to have been born into a family of people who already had admirable jobs it was hard for him to have a dream that would match their s but he chose to dream about being on TV because it was what gave him his first experience with the outside world. He adds nothing in his life was ever planned and he believes once you possess certain attributes as a person everything will just align itself to work towards your success. He got his first big movie role in 2010 while he was still working in the bank and suddenly the demand for his acting began to rise at a fast pace which convinced him this was the field for him.
Talking about what motivates him, Femi says in every difficult situation you are thrown into, there is always something to learn. That thing happened for a reason and it is to prepare you for something greater than you. He said his greatest challenge was selling his book when preparing the book he studied how to make it successful in the environment of our country. He said the more challenging part was overcoming the constant pressure of a peculiar environment.
He says an environment plays a very major role in the actions an individual takes and his behaviors. The environment builds up or breaks down an individual, it is meant to be a support system for people but we’re seeing a different case nowadays. People have begun to idolize the wrongs in the society and it has become easier to support wrongdoings, the society has become looser and culture has been thrown under the bus. He stresses the need to raise the last generation better than the last.
Femi reveals that when people say they’re limited it might be a faulty perception. We use all these as excuses to avoid actually trying. He empathizes with people that can’t actually afford the startup capital but he advises people to find an alternative way to get things done.
When asked about how to stay committed even when money, Femi says you have to prioritize learning, influence, and impact over income. He then advises businesses to at least compensate their interns in cash and kind to keep them interested.
A question was asked about dealing with approval from the public, Femi says it is very important to build your audience if you’re needing approval. Your business is a movement and you have to gather a band of followers that believe in your movement too. Believe in what yourself and what you’re doing then people will begin to believe in what you’re doing.
Concluding, he says never give up the quest to find yourself. Keep doing what you’re doing what you are doing and you will find yourself.
