Twenty-Five Years of Women Leading, Building and Creating Impact Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting women in leadership. With African roots and a global perspective, WIMBIZ connects and inspires women to catalyze their growth into leadership positions and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

Twenty-five years ago, WIMBIZ began with a bold vision: to create a platform that supports and advances women in leadership across management, business and public service. WIMBIZ has grown into a community connecting women across sectors, generations and geographies while advocating for increased representation of women in leadership and decision-making.

Through conferences, mentoring, advocacy, capacity-building programmes, research and strategic partnerships, WIMBIZ has continued to create opportunities for women to connect, learn, lead and contribute meaningfully to economic and national development.

WIMBIZ has a global network of 4,100+ accomplished women who contribute to its initiatives in management, business, and public service. WIMBIZ collaborates with reputable domestic and international organizations to deliver impactful programs, positively influencing over 367,000+ women to excel in their careers and businesses.

ABOUT 25 ANNUAL CONFERENCE THEME

The WIMBIZ Annual Conference is the organisation’s flagship program that is held in the first week of November every year. It is attended both physically and virtually by over 2,600 women from diverse sectors in Nigeria, Africa, and other continents. It aims at having sessions on a broad range of issues centered around a cutting-edge theme that is topical and relevant to women in the business, corporate, public and development sectors. Since its commencement, the program has impacted over 25,293 women.

The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone: the 25th WIMBIZ Annual Conference and WIMBIZ’s Silver Jubilee. Under the theme: Rooted, Rising, Ready: Born in Africa, Built for the World Three words. Three stages. One complete picture of where the WIMBIZ woman stands at this milestone moment.

To be Rooted is to know exactly where you come from and draw power from it without apology. It is the identity, the community, the continent that shaped you. It is 25 years of WIMBIZ women building something that did not exist before they arrived. Rooted is not a limitation. It is the foundation everything else stands on. To be Rising is to be in active, deliberate motion. Not waiting for permission. Not pausing for validation.
